THORPEX is an international research program to accelerate improvements in the accuracy and effective utilization of 1-day to 2-week high-impact weather forecasts. The science foci of the US THORPEX efforts will be discussed along with a description of the US THORPEX organizational structure. US, regional, and international THORPEX activities will also be presented, including T-PARC.
