An analysis of U.S. hurricane landfalls as an interconnected network is performed. The network links coastal locations (nodes) with particular hurricanes (links). Network topology is analyzed with global metrics and local metrics are used on individual nodes. Results show that certain regions of the coast are well connected even if the occurrence of hurricanes is not large. The sensitivity of the network topology to changes in climate is also considered.
