ITT Geospatial Systems and its teammates have developed an advanced instrument testbed for proving technologies needed for future space-based imaging Fourier Transform Spectrometer (FTS) instruments. The end-to-end instrument testbed is called the Hyperspectral Imaging Test Bed (HITB). This paper describes the design elements of the HITB, the results of testing, and its relevance to the development of future space-based instruments.
