A series of short videos are being developed to educate the public about climate change using popular culture and humor. The Green Ninja is the central film-and-animated superhero who slashes his way into the lives of citizens to change individual decisions and ultimately improve climate change literacy. A collaboration between scientists and film makers, the videos are being developed primarily for students in middle school and above. The videos are supported by a Web site that provides learning materials for each video to enhance teachers' abilities and confidence in the classroom. The goal of the videos is to inspire interest and action on climate change through a range of subjects, although the initial videos will focus on our interactions with food. Examples of the videos will be shown during the presentation.
