Washington State Convention Center
The National Earth Science Teachers Association has entered a new phase of service to both K-12 Earth and Space Science teachers and the geoscience research/education community. Over the past several years, we have expanded and strengthened our programs, including a monthly newsletter filled with opportunities, a high-quality quarterly journal filled with resources that teachers can use immediately in the classroom, and expanded sessions at National Science Teachers Association area and national conferences. We have increased our engagement at the national level with sister professional societies, working to promote the importance of our science at both the national and state level. In April 2010, NESTA became the new home for Windows to the Universe, one of the most popular Earth and Space Science education and outreach websites globally, with support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. With this support, we have developed a variety of opportunities for partnership and collaboration, designed to help the geoscience research and education community leverage this high-traffic website in support of their education and outreach objectives. NESTA can now offer multiple vehicles to help you magnify your reach to Earth and Space Science educators, students, and the public.
