Census of private sector meteorology: An Update

last year the National Council of Industrial Meteorlogists presented a idea for performing a census of private meteorologists. The first steps have been taken and this will be areport on the progress. the concept is to identify the number of professional who work outside of the government and academia (some people work in both academia and the private sector)and the dollar size of the meteorological businesses in which they work.
