As the solar cycle has started to change the magnetic fields of the Sun, the SOHO, ACE , STEREO, and SDO missions develop a range of data of unprecidented resolution, spatial, temporal, and thermal, across a wide range of scales. The events of early August 2010 provide ineresting input for the modeling capaility available at the CCMC facility located at GSFC, and in several cases provided insight into the dynamics of the Sun and its effects on the Earth not previously available to either researchers or operational systems.
