Overview of GOES-R Level-2 Products
Room 343/344 (New Orleans Convention Center )
Jaime M. Daniels, NOAA/NESDIS, Camp Springs, MD; and M. Goldberg

State-of-the-art Level-2 product algorithms have been developed by the GOES-R Algorithm Working Group (AWG) for the future GOES-R Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) and Geostationary Lightning Mapper (GLM). These algorithms convert calibrated and navigated instrument data into geophysical parameters that represent the state of the earth's atmosphere, land, and ocean system. A large collection of GOES-R instrument proxy data sets have been assembled for use in GOES-R Level-2 product algorithm development, testing, validation, and product demonstration activities. This talk will provide an overview of these Level-2 products and highlight their expected use by the various user communities.
