Anthony Arguez, NOAA/NESDIS/NCEI, Asheville, NC

NOAA's 1981-2010 Agricultural Normals will be released in the Fall of 2012. This will include probabilities of first/last occurrence of minimum temperature events (16F, 20F, 24F, 28F, 32F, and 36F) and growing season length for 5808 U.S stations. These products are based on a serially-complete set of daily minimum temperatures for the 1981-2010 period, computed using a simple nearest neighbor anomaly approach. In addition, growing degree days will be reported for 7501 stations. These products will be statistically consistent with the 1981-2010 daily and monthly temperature normals released by NOAA in July 2011.
