Mitigation

The topic of mitigation of emissions of greenhouse gases has not been treated directly in previous National Climate Assessments. In the current NCA activity, though, this topic will receive a chapter dedicated to mitigation-related issues. This presentation will focus on an overview of the issues considered in the chapter, with discussion of how they are being addressed. Because the NCA has not yet been released for public comment, conclusions from the chapter cannot be discussed, but an outline for how the author team has considered the main issues will be discussed.
