We often see presentations at AMS meetings about complex forensic cases which required many hours of effort and high end software and technology. In this forensic case, the budget was minimal, but the weather science was complex and critical to properly addressing the legal case. There were also other consultants involved from the engineering and electrical services industries comprising a team of investigators, but the weather issues were addressed solely by Shade Tree Meteorology, LLC using data from public and private sources. An overview of data used and findings will be presented and the actual, relatively brief, plain English report will be shared.
