On April 27th, 2014 a destructive EF-4 tornado moved through portions of central Arkansas. This tornado was responsible for sixteen fatalities, and had a length of over 40 miles. For the town of Vilonia, this was the second tornado in three years, and the 7th since 1982.

Before, during, and after this deadly event, NOAA/NWS WFO Little Rock was able to disseminate information through a GIS format to provide decision support. In particular, detailed storm track information to support rescue and relief efforts was provided, and was made readily available in accessible formats to support local, state, and national agencies. A review of the products supporting decision support services will be discussed, along with plans for future improvements.
