With the advent of WebGL and better performing JavaScript engines, it is now possible to provide scientific and Geo-spatial visualization over the Web. We have built a open source visualization library called GeoJS which uses WebGL, SVG, or HTML 5 Canvas 2D API. GeoJS provides the modern visualization capabilities without sacrificing the performance or ease of use to the users and developers. It enables reading and rendering of various Climate and Geospatial data formats such as NetCDF, GeoJSON< and ESRI Shapefile. Additionally it supports animations and other visual analytics capabilities in a Geo-spatial content.
