The NATO reference mobility model (NRMM) predicts vehicle speed as a function of vehicle type, terrain shape, tree diameter and density as well as soil strength and surface conditions including the presence of snow. Soil strength is dependent on soil type and moisture content. In this presentation I focus on the impact of inherent uncertainty in weather forecast parameters on mobility predictions and their impact on operations.
