Sulfur Dioxide Data Requirements Rule – A Proactive Compliance Approach

As the regulated community anxiously awaits the finalization of the sulfur dioxide (SO2) data requirements rule (DRR), ALL4 has been working with a specialty chemical manufacturing facility in the Southeast to design and implement a proactive air dispersion modeling evaluation. This presentation will review the regulatory history of the SO2 DRR, as well as the air dispersion modeling evaluation developed for the facility. This presentation will discuss the modeling methodologies used, discuss the results and potential compliance strategies moving forward, and review the challenges and lessons learned associated with a facility that has not conducted modeling before.
