NOAA environmental satellites provide critical Earth and space observations capabilities to the Nation and international partners.

This presentation will offer an overview from NESDIS Office of Satellite and Product Operations (OSPO) on the current status of the fleet of operational NOAA satellites, and provide a brief preview of planned improvements for future satellite data and product distribution. Specifically, the update will include information on how NOAA's next generation satellites, GOES-R and JPSS-1, will work together with GOES-N-P series and S-NPP.  Select examples of new product promotions will be discussed as well as data and product distribution, unique services and outreach initiatives.

This work will also show the latest technology improvements, enterprise approach and future plans for distribution of exponentially increasing data volumes from future NOAA missions. We will also focus on access and availability of NOAA satellite data for near real time (NRT) and retrospective product users.

Finally, the update with include information on the upcoming NOAA Satellite Conference 2017 for Direct Readout, GOES/POES, and GOES-R/JPSS Users.
