The first version of CMA Land Data Assimilation System (CLDAS) has been put into operation in In July 2013 in NMIC/CMA. The key focus of this system is the establishment of 2m air temperature, surface pressure, 2m humidity, 10m wind speed, precipitation, radiation forcing data fusion processing system, driving CLM3.5 land surface model based on these forcing data to simulate and exporting soil moisture operation product which has been provided to lots of provincial meteorological administrations, municipal meteorological administrations and scientific research institutes to apply. In 2015, as a upgrade of CLDAS-V1.0 system, CLDAS-V2.0 focuses on developing ensemble technology of multiple land surface model simulation, further improves atmosphere forcing data and eventually improves the quality of soil moisture operation product. The main tasks of CLDAS-V3.0 and CLDAS-V4.0 are realizing data assimilation analysis of ground soil moisture observation, satellite retrieval soil moisture observation, microwave brightness temperature and other data. In the meantime, the construction of 1km high resolution land data assimilation operation system should be completed at the end of 2016.
