A Survey of Significant Weather Events of 2016 and the Application of Severe Weather Nowcasting and Lightning Detection Products

The presentation will provide a fast paced survey of newsworthy severe weather events across many geographies around the world, impacting the public and numerous industries.  Case studies will describe the impacts of these events and how lightning detection and severe weather nowcasting techniques and products could have been used to minimize the impacts of these events.  Events will include aviation incidents, lightning strikes, heavy winds and rain and other events across many countries and climates.  Presentation will include videos, new summaries and screen captures of weather information.
