The social science research portfolios of both the National Weather Service and Office of Weather and Air Quality have grown exponentially in the last 2-3 years. This talk will highlight some key points of strategic growth within NOAA, including relationships with external partners like FEMA, NSF and the National Academies of Science, and internal relationships across the agency. These perspectives will help the community better understand and connect with this growth as it's gaining momentum.
