‘Weather Ready or Not’ is a monthly podcast designed to facilitate two-way communication of weather and forecast perception. Each month, an impactful weather event is examined through the eyes of the public. Their stories spark questions and ideas that challenge the weather community to act upon current ideology. These stories also give listeners an emotional connection to various weather events, in hopes to improve their future decision making. Along with the stories, the meteorology behind the event is explained by local and regional weather forecasters. These explanations are aimed to inform both science and non-science savvy listeners. In the end, this production is a platform for the public, to the public with the ambition of creating a more Weather Ready Nation.
