Jason Samenow is the Washington Post’s Weather Editor. He founded CapitalWeather.com, which was incepted by the Post in 2008 and became the Capital Weather Gang, which he has since led. A native Washingtonian, he has been a weather enthusiast since age 10. He earned an undergraduate degree in atmospheric science from the University of Virginia and went on to earn a master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining the Washington Post, he worked as a climate change science analyst for the federal government, monitoring, analyzing and communicating the science of climate change. Jason lives with his wife and two children in Washington, D.C.
