Jamison Hawkins is Director of Civil Space and Environmental Programs in Lockheed Martin’s Government Affairs Office. A 25-year veteran of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Jamie held senior executive positions in the National Weather Service, and served as Deputy Director of the National Ocean Service. A meteorologist by education, Jamie’s first 19 years were in weather satellite programs. As a manager, Jamie led teams of scientists implementing new satellite product algorithms, and concept studies for satellite instruments and data architectures ultimately used in the GOES-R weather satellite program. From 2004 through 2007, Jamie was an independent consultant to several aerospace, environmental, and IT firms in the weather enterprise. In his 11 years at Lockheed Martin, Jamie has served as customer advocate for NOAA and NASA weather and earth science objectives.
