Evolution of digital forecasts at NWS Forecast Offices

This paper will explore the evolution of forecast operations in the production of gridded digital forecasts. Preparation of gridded forecasts has necessitated a change in the operations philosophy at NWS Forecast offices to better manage and reallocate resources to meet the demands of providing high resolution forecast information.
