Using DLESE to facilitate high quality Earth Science Education

The Digital Library for Earth Systems Education is a useful tool to help educators organize high quality web based curriculum. The library gives the educator the power to search specifically for the topic, type of medium, grade level, resource type collection and how it relates to the national science standards. Educator may take part in the process of reviewing the on-line resource to verify the quality and extent of web material. Educators may also add resources to be considered for the library. All resources in the library go through a verification process with practicing classroom teachers so the resources referenced work and educators can depend on the quality. This session will detail how DLESE might be used to develop a lesson on a particular oceanographic or meteorological topic. Participants will be able to go on-line at the poster or session to interact personally with the web site.
