Online weather studies and Weatherbug achieve: The best of both worlds.

In this contribution the experience of Saint Thomas University in combining both, the Online Weather studies and the award-winning WeatherBug achieve programs will be presented. Originally, Saint Thomas University used some of the modules developed within WeatherBug Achieve (WBA) plus a peer to peer way of delivery. Later on, the experience has been extended by including the state of the art information present in online weather studies (OWS). It is our intention to share with other instructors the challenges and experiences accumulated during this year. The science and math phobia were the main challenge to overcome. Different paths have been explored to change the attitude of the students. The inclusion of weather studies as particular sections in other sciences classes resulted more effective at least for the student population in our institution.
