The U.S. Army Research Laboratory, High Resolution Wind (HRW) and transport model was used to estimate the long range drift of pesticide from an irrigated Pecan orchard in the Rio Grande valley near Las Cruces, NM. These model results extend local field measurements, which were made during an orchard sprayer drift experiment. Far field drift in unstable and stable conditions are compared.
