Tuesday, 15 August 2000
Gerrit Hoogenboom, Washington State University, WA

In 1991 the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of the University of Georgia established an automated weather station network. The network has grown from four stations in 1991 to more than 40 stations in 2000. An overview will be presented of the current status of the network, including weather data collection, analysis, dissemination, and applications. Most of the weather data and products are being delivered via the world wide web at http://www.griffin.peachnet.edu/bae.
