Using the field experimental data, the fluctuations of soil temperatures were analysed for winter wheat in different sowing (cultivation) style during winter season in the north of Hebei Province. It was found that furrow sowing has an obvious effect in increasing soil temperature about 1-2 celsius centigrade , and favorable to wheat survive over winter. Good effect of soil temperature enhance was found for plastic film cover sowing in the fall and after winter. But it has no effect in the coldest days of winter season to prevent cold air, because of its open-top, plastic film cover°®s soil temperatures of 3cm and 5cm is lower 0.6-0.8 celsius centigrade than that of the other sowing styles generally . The soil temperature of traditional sowing style was always less than that of furrow sowing during the whole winter season. The conclusion is that in the transtion of winter and spring wheat planting zone, furrowing sowing style is suited for most of the case, plasic film cover sowing style is used to where winter air temperature is not too low .
