The horizontal distribution of air temperature in Seoul metropolitan area was analyzed with the Automatic Weather Station data in 1999 to understand the urban climate characteristics. It showed that the warm area appeared in the region occupied with residential and industrial structures. And we investigate the change of spatial temperature pattern comparing with the previous study and the heat island intensity between the urban and suburbs. In this study, it is found that the effects of land use change for urbanization are important in the micro-scale temperature distribution.
