The Earth Observing System Microwave Limb Sounder (EOS MLS) on the Aura satellite

EOS MLS measures several atmospheric chemical species (OH, HO2, H2O, O3, HCl, ClO, HOCl, BrO, HNO3, N2O, CO, HCN, CH3CN, volcanic SO2), cloud ice, temperature and geopotential height to improve our understanding of stratospheric ozone chemistry, composition affects on climate, and pollution in the upper troposphere. It was launched 15 July 2004 on the Aura satellite, and instrument performance to date has been excellent. Several early science results have been obtained. An overview of EOS MLS will be given, and some highlights of results to date.wrf recording  Recorded presentation
