Twelve years of Maury Project summer workshops: A pictorial history

David R. Smith, United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD; and I. W. Geer and D. E. McManus

The Maury Project has been in existence for 12 years (1994-2005). A key component of the program for teachers is the two-week summer workshop for in which teachers learn about the physical foundations of oceanography. The workshop includes classroom instruction, hand-on activities, field experiences – including on board an oceanographic vessel – and filed trips. This poster will provide a graphical display of many of the highlights of the twelve workshops conducted at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis MD.
