The Society Speaks: Anecdotal Information from the Survey

The Board of Women and Minorities for the American Meteorological Society has compiled the results from the recent survey of the Society’s membership. While other speakers have focused on quantitative parts of the survey, this abstract will focus on the comment section of the survey.

Comments have dealt with many important issues within the society. The comments have ranged from support and encouragement for various aspects of the Society, to discontent with current practices and policies. This presentation will summarize these comments and suggest some patterns in the data.
