The contribution of tropical cyclone precipitation to regions experiencing dry conditions were analyzed for the eastern half of the United States. Drought indicator(s) were used to define dry spell periods for various regions, and tropical cyclone precipitation was analyzed over the last half century to determine the contribution of precipitation to these dry regions. Various agricultural and hydrological impacts were explored to provide insight into the effects these precipitation events had on the mitigation of dry regions.
