VisAD for collaborative visualization of data distributed on clusters
William L. Hibbard, University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI
VisAD is the leading visualization system written in Java. It is freely available, including source code, at http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/~billh/visad.html. It provides an easy means to make any visualization collaborative. It also includes a capability to visualize very large data sets distributed across the processors of a cluster.
