An Internet site designed specifically for forecast meteorologists, AccuWeather.com Professional, was built to provide a complete array of highly advanced data and computer model information worldwide, all in one place in an easy-to-use, ad-free format.

Some of the features include:

1.Complete real-time NEXRAD Doppler radar information, including 20 different types of single-site data, Metro Radars, 48-frame animations and a variety of mosaics.

2.A vast array of numerical model graphics covering the U.S. and worldwide, including the RUC2, MM5, ETA, Meso-ETA, NGM, ECMWF, NOGAPS, AVN, MRF and MRF ensemble members.

3.Worldwide satellite imagery, including visible, infrared, enhanced infrared and water vapor images.

4.Worldwide observations and surface plot images.

5.A GIS system with interactive pan and zoom, geographical overlays and overlays of worldwide data, including surface observations, radar and satellite data.

6.Streaming video weather presentations geared for meteorologists, such as “The Long Ranger” and “Weather Point-Counterpoint”.

The system is designed for flexible real-time access, including full-screen capability with four graphic windows, which all constantly update.

Content is available through Internet access or with a hand-held PDA.
