This poster is part of the Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5) poster series. NCA5 Chapter 09 - Coastal Effects outlines the physical changes that climate change is bringing to the U.S. coastline, as well as the implications of these physical changes for coastal communities. The chapter also outlines different climate responses that can promote or inhibit adaptation and resilience along the coast and explores the implications of these responses for equity and justice. The AMS community is invited to explore the Coastal Effects chapter as well as the full NCA5—the preeminent source of climate information for the United States. NCA5 is developed by the U.S. Global Change Research Program and is scheduled for release in late 2023.
