Abstract
The National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS) is moving to an enterprise ground capability in the cloud, taking advantage of the increased flexibility and scalability that the technology offers. NESDIS developed its Common Cloud framework (NCCF) from piloted demonstrations that evolved to become operational in May 2021. One of the key services planned for the enterprise is to bring together an on-prem archival system into a unified archive end to end workflow. This presentation will discuss the features, and challenges of an enterprise cloud archive service and the pathway to success.
