NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) is the world’s largest repository of environmental data and information. Millions of individuals, organizations, and companies in the U.S. and around the world use NCEI’s use-inspired data and information for planning, making decisions, and for building and delivering products and services. In order to establish the significant economic and societal impact of NCEI’s data to the economy, NCEI has undertaken a concerted effort to explore and engage with its customer base to determine uses of its data and portray the benefits the data and information provides to customers.

This poster shows NCEI’s strategic approach to gaining insights on benefits of NCEI data to its customers from the most recent value of the data reports, customer analytics, and use of key NCEI products specific to U.S. economic sectors.
