Natural wind-blown dust and biomass burning aerosol are investigated in this study. Dust from Taklamkan and Gobi deserts in China and Mongolia transported southeastward towards the West Pacific in spring. Meanwhile, biomass burning plume from Southeast Asia moved eastward towards the West Pacific in the same time. The two different sources of aerosol mixed with each other over East Asia. The twoway model WRF/CMAQ modeling system is applied to evaluate the impact of dust and biomass burning on PBL.
