The overview of the targeted observation for tropical cyclones over the western North Pacific during the THORPEX Pacific Asian Regional Campaign in 2008 will be presented, especially for two typhoons, Sinlaku and Jangmi, that made a sudden recurvature near Taiwan. The intercomparison of the track forecasts among several forecast centers will also be presented.
