In this talk I will review recent collaborative findings on the problem of tropical cyclogenesis. The results presented will include analyses obtained from the PREDICT and TCS08 experiments as well as some recent work during the NASA-HS3 and post experiment periods. Important lessons appear to be emerging from these campaigns.
