There are three fundamental parts of all weather content that is broadcast on-air, published on-line or shared on social media: meteorology, message and marketing. Understanding the differences between the components as well as how they are connected can help guide the daily workflow of the broadcast meteorologist and ensure that content is accurate and consistent. The Fundamentals of Broadcast Meteorology are most beneficial to students and early-career meteorologists as they develop their forecasting skills and attempt to produce content across multiple platforms.
