ONLINE METEOROLOGY AT PASSAIC COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Anthony L. Selimo, Passaic County Community College, Patterson, NJ

The initial concept of bringing the AMS online program to the diverse student population was twofold. One, the idea of a new lab science in the atmospheric sciences diversified the science offerings at Passaic County Community College, and two the national educational charge to bridge the “Digital Divide” was clearly addressed through this program.

This year’s poster presentation will assess the outcomes of the “bridging” by the implementation of online meteorology. How have the students advanced their knowledge of computers and the web through the AMS meteorology program? This program will include a video presentation and student testimonials with demonstrated skills being displayed.
