The implementation of Online Weather Studies has not only given students on campus an additional science course from which to choose to take each semester, but also, it has helped to broaden the Geography and Earth Sciences curriculum, and can make it more convenient for students who take courses through the Distance Learning program. Fall semester 2003 is the first semester the course has been offered during the normal daytime schedule. The course was offered in the evening program previously. Moving the course to mid-morning, 11:35 to 12:50 on Tuesday and Thursday, was to see if that would increase the class enrollment. Other recruiting methods taken in 2002 were to announce the course on the campus radio station several times, advertise it in the campus newspaper, and post notices around campus on bulletin board
