Graphics for hurricane tracking for TV. Cone or no cone? Center line or no center line? Is there TMI, too much information, on the hurricane 5-7 day forecast maps? Since local TV is the media used by most Americans to track hurricanes it is important to utilize the media to its fullest extent for clear communication of the threats. Graphical representations will be explored for clarity of interpretation by the public. Translations to the new media of mobile phones and Ipads will be illustrated.
