A discussion of the implementation of the AMS Climate Studies project for minority institutions. Huston-Tillotson University (HTU) is an historically black college or university (HBCU) with a liberal arts focus located in downtown Austin, Texas. The AMS Climate Studies project was implemented in the Fall 2012 semester through CHEM 4367, Special Topics in Chemistry: Atompsheric Chemistry. Seven (7) upper level chemistry students (encompassing approximately 50% of chemistry majors) enrolled and completed the course. The implementation at HTU for non-science majors (as a general studies course) is currently underway.
