Partnerships between the emergency management community, and the Weather Enterprise, are strengthened though facilitated discussions and meetings by the AMS. These partnerships ultimately lead to improved decision making and community resilience, two key aspects of building a Weather-Ready Nation.

The committee's mission is to develop an approach that engages the AMS weather and climate enterprise (Boards and Committees) with the broader emergency management community. This will help to expand collaboration, cooperation and mutual understanding between the enterprise and members of the emergency management community across federal, state, academic, private, and local interests. This committee will address challenges, opportunities, and issues centered on the topic of environmental information and its use within the emergency management community for decision making purposes.

This presentation will provide an overview of this committee.
