UCARConnect is an online portal created in 2014 that brings secondary and post secondary communities together around meteorology and related fields. Designed to be open and transparent, it shares not only resources from UCAR and other reputable organizations and universities using National Science Digital Library technology, but also live and archived webcasts from leaders in the field via UCARLive (uconnect.ucar.edu/live) as well as a series of community-focused webinars on current issues impacting our field. As a nexus for the community, UCAR, through UCARConnect, also highlights onsite and online courses, programs, symposiums, colloquiums, and more from and for the UCAR community. Built as a response to today's more active, open, responsive, and connected internet and the opportunities and promise that high bandwidth provides, UCARConnect seeks to enhance and share knowledge management methods and tools, promote discovery, access, and creation of exceptional STEM learning resources and programs, and connect a thriving Earth system science community to free educationally rich resources and learning opportunities.
