Protecting Lives and Property Through Impact-Based Decision Support Services: Improving Customer Experience at NWS

The National Weather Service (NWS) is working to enhance its operating model of Impact-Based Decision Support Services (IDSS) to better support a Weather-Ready Nation. As part of the Operations and Workforce Analysis (OWA), the NWS launched a survey of its core and deep partners to seek a better understanding of what decisions partners need to make and what information they need to make their decisions. This presentation will provide an overview of the methodology and results of the survey and provide an overview of the ongoing work NWS is conducting to enhance partner interactions for IDSS.
