Unidata continues to populate the Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 bucket with real time level II NEXRAD radar data, extending the archive
pulled from the National Center for Environmental Information (NCEI) from 1991 to present time. Unidata has
installed a Thematic Real-time Environmental Distributed Data Services (THREDDS) on this collection for .edu access, and
has encouraged and collaborated with Unidata community members to place additional services on this account. Unidata
continues to populate another S3 bucket with model output from the Global Forecast System (.25 degree) and the High
Resolution Rapid Refresh. Future plans are to consider GOES platforms including the new GOES-R platform anticipated to
launch in November of 2016.
